EMAIL EXTRACTOR DOCS

Privacy, page access and local data

Understand website permissions, local result storage, file access and the separate services used for licensing, purchases and support.

Why the extension requests permissions#

Page access and scripting let Email Extractor inspect supported content. Tabs access supports the active page and temporary URL list scan tabs. Clipboard access supports copying selected addresses.

Local storage holds settings and results. The extension also requests permission for larger local storage, but that does not make device capacity unlimited or remove the retention settings. Browser-protected pages remain restricted.

Choose website and local-file access#

Control site access in the browser extension settings. Allow only the access you need and reload a page after a permission change. Private browsing can have a separate extension permission.

Local HTML scanning may require Allow access to file URLs in Chrome or Edge. Google Docs and Sheets require an account or sharing access that can read the document; the extension does not bypass those restrictions.

What stays in the browser profile#

Email matching, scan history, saved addresses, folders, tags, collected sources, detection dates, statistics and preferences are handled locally in the browser profile. Turning on Auto Collection adds supported pages you visit to that local workflow.

URL list and whole-website scans make ordinary requests to the websites being scanned. Those websites can receive connection details such as your IP address. Local processing does not mean the browser makes no network requests.

When separate services are used#

Premium activation checks your license with the licensing service. Lemon Squeezy handles purchases, Web3Forms delivers optional support form submissions, and Google Forms hosts the optional uninstall survey.

These services are separate from extracting and storing your address list. The website privacy policy explains their purposes and the optional website cookie controls without requiring you to inspect technical endpoints.

Back up, remove or reset local data#

Delete records you no longer need from their relevant lists. Settings provides backup export, backup import, data reset and restoration of default settings. Importing replaces supported local data; it is not a merge.

Uninstalling or removing a browser profile can remove local extension data. Create a backup first if you want to preserve it. Exported files and backups are separate copies on your device and should be managed there too.
